Just created few sample leads in my Sugar along with some test users like user A, user B and user C. The leads that user A created were Lead A1, Lead A2 and Lead A2; by user B Lead B1, Lead B2 and Lead B3; and respectively for user C. By default Sugar assigns the leads to the user who creates it.

Then I logged in as another user and observed that all the leads are visible to every user and they have the right to edit, delete and convert them. I was shocked as any of the user can delete others lead or even edit them.

Don’t panic, the solution is to use the Role Management feature. I created one role for the leads and then assigned that role to every user who was concerned for that. I have changed the actions of the roles. I set the attributes like Delete, Edit and Export to Owners. In this way only the owner of that Lead can perform deletion, editing and exporting.
