What is Eclipse?

Eclipse is the leading open source Integrated Development Environment (IDE) supported by the Eclipse Foundation and open source communities worldwide. Eclipse offers a development platform for both has large-scale development projects and smaller open source initiatives.

It supports version control system (VCS) repository access, automatic expansion of method name, visual diff, debugger with graphical user interface and plug-ins. The Eclipse IDE is the development platform of choice within the SugarCRM community.
