SugarCRM: My Portal
My Portal module helps in accessing the different websites in the application without switching over to any other browser. This module is helpful to the Sales executives as they can add their customers or clients website through which they can update their SugarCRM and information related to sales. Click on My Portal tab and it will navigate you to the list view. The very first time no website is shown in the list panel.

At the left block you can see two links Add Sites and List Sites. To add the website click on the Add Sites link. It will navigate you to the page where you have the fields required to add the website. Fill in the fields as mentioned below:
Name: Fill in the name of the website. (You can fill in any name which you like. Name in accordance to the website is preferred to the organization’s website to differentiate amongst the websites once you add more websites.) e.g. My Home Page
Website: Fill in the URL of the website. e.g. http://www.example.com

Placement: This drop down gives you three options of placement:
Tab Menu and Shortcut Menu: If you select this option the name of the website will be visible in the Tab as well as in the Shortcut Menu.
Tab Menu: Selecting this option shows the name of the website in the tab only.
Shortcut Menu: Selecting this option shows the name of the website in the shortcut menu once you come in the My Portal page.

Visible: This option gives you the choice to show this website in the Placement that you have set. If you have not checked this option then you can only access the website by going in My Portal page then clicking on the URL of the website.
Type: This gives you the option to set this portal Global or Personal. If you set Global then other users can also view this website and setting as Personal only you can view this portal.

Once you have filled in the required fields then click save
and now you can see the name of the website on the Tab or Shortcut Menu(as set in the Placement field.) and now can access the website in the application itself. Try it now.
