Configuring Email Options in SugarCRM 4.0.1
The email feature in SugarCRM 4.0.1 can be configured following the steps mentioned below:
First of all we will configure the email options to send and receive emails from SugarCRM. Login as the Administrator and then click on My Account link which is visible at the top right of the application.

After reaching on the page which says “Users: Administrator: admin” Click on the Edit button. Now go to the Email Options block and fill in the fields as mentioned below:

In the “From Name” field fill in the name from which the email will be delivered like Moses, Brij, Sanjay. In the “From Address” field fill the email address like yourname@example.com
Then select the Mail Transfer Agent, either sendmail or SMTP. If you select SMTP then you will have to fill your SMTP Server name in this field. It automatically selects the SMTP server port.
Click Save, now your SugarCRM is ready to send and receive mails.
